The identity cards issued by the Soldier Boards to the Defence Personnel do not carry the details of wives and their dependents which at various levels create an uncertainty for the defence personal to prove the identity of their families e.g. availing benifit of concessional Air Ticket by SPICE JET, visiting AF Stations etc.

It is suggested that since this card is very important for the identity of the ex-serevicemen and their families it should be upgraded technically and include the details necessary for getting benefit or proving identity of self and family at various levels.

Further, suggestions can be invited for the improvement of ID Cards.

Sir,

Ref. my comments dt. 12 Aug 2010.

I actually meant that in this age of technical advancement Sainik Boards should follow ECHS example. or the ECHS card can be replaced in lieu of ID cards issued by Sainik Boards with additional details of families which will serve the purpuse of a single ID card for ex-servicemen and also avoid duplicacy and forgery.

Dear Navdeep, it seems Min of Civil Avaition has stopped issuing permissions to travel in Pvt airlines. They have stopped responding to calls, faxes and emails. As i travel in a sector with no Airindia, what is the way out?
