This is a direct outcome of Major Navdeep's efforts. Whether The AFT would actually use these powers is a separate question.

Maj Navdeep, one may not be able to express the feelings in words. One requires conviction to identify the fault lines and then challenge it at appropriate forums till logical conclusion. One can hope that with these powers, AFT directions would be implemented. Regards COL A K SINGH

The Seventh Central Pay Commission has been constituted by the Government on 28 February 2014 to examine various issues relating to emoluments’ structure, retirement benefits and other service conditions of Central Government employees and to make recommendations on the changes required.

For facilitating the above task as mandated by the Commission’s terms of reference a questionnaire has been designed to seek the considered views of all stakeholders. The questionnaire seeks responses on 42 queries grouped under 15 topics. The replies may please be framed in a concise manner, and for each query the length may be limited to the ceiling indicated against the query.

Members of the general public are invited to send their replies online. Organizations/individuals may indicate their names, mailing address, telephone and email as required in the next page, following which they would be directed to the questionnaire.

Extension of last date of submission of Memoranda

The Seventh Central Pay Commission has invited all associations, unions, institutions, other organizations and interested individuals to send memoranda containing their views on the Terms of Reference of the Commission. These memoranda were to be submitted by end of May, 2014, as indicated in the letter dated 29.4.2014/Public Notice that appeared on 4.5.2014.

The Commission has received requests from several quarters that the last date for submission of the memoranda be extended. The matter has been duly considered and it has now been decided by the Commission to extend the last date of submission of memoranda from 31st May, 2014 to 31st July, 2014.
